If you can use Windows Explorer, you can now perform forensically sound collection of ESI

Conveyor is the technology used within the enterprise-wide DigIT collection tool, for the forensically sound copying of ESI. It was developed as a stand-alone offering in response to requests in the marketplace. Many corporations and law firms are looking for a solution that is easy to use, inexpensive and takes less time than traditional practices for collection. Conveyor is not a forensic tool designed to restore "lost" data but instead is for narrowing your collection process by collecting in a targeted fashion versus capturing all the data on a harddrive.

Copying files using Conveyor is a non-invasive process that efficiently filters search criteria and creates forensically sound copies of data residing on live workstations and servers - all from one centralized location. Once data is copied, Conveyor creates a detailed report for the user of all files copied which establishes the front end of a chain of custody (A chain of custody log for electronic data must demonstrate: that the data has been properly copied, transported, and stored; that the information has not been altered in any way; and that all media has been secured throughout the process) The program can be loaded on a thumb drive or sent via email to authorized users as a single instance application or may be purchased as an annual subscription.
